Hi Jenny,

Please keep writing. I'm sure lots of us are reading your "postcards" - I even read out bits to my dh and we laugh at some of the bits so much. I loved your bad pun the other day! You make it all come alive the way you write and your photos are great too!

Hi Jenny,
We are probably being typical lurkers! Lots of reading but not much posting. Keep up the good work. The notes are always interesting, and the photos wonderful.

Jenny, please don't stop writing and posting those marvellous photos. I'm sure that lots of people are like me, thinking that you'd be getting dozens of messages, too many to be bothered reading. My husband and I love reading your blog - you're bringing Cairo to life for us! Blessings to you and your DH.

Hi Jenny,
thanks so much for your photos and emails. My husband and I travelled to Egypt for our honeymoon before backpacking and working around the UK and Europe.
In May it will be 10 years since our travels. Thanks for helping to re-ignite the memories.

Oh Jenny, I do hope that you will continue towrite for us all. I have posted a shortcut to your blog on my desktop, and have discovered DH, (who incidentally, spent some time in the Sinai)is also calling in each day to see what you have added. He is particularly taken by the faces in the markets, and laments that he did not get to socialise at the embassy in CAiro in 1983, only the one in Jerusalem. Meantime, I really enjoy the content, and the composition, of your efforts each day. Thank you so much,

Hi Jenny,

The photos are great and your observations are insightful. I have passed the blog onto some others and they too are finding it worth watching/looking. Please be encouraged to keep it going. Even if we just lurk it is much appreciated

Hi Jenny,
Your descriptions of life in Cairo are so alive and multidimensional - I really love reading what you are up to and seeing your exquisite photos. Maybe one day I'll get to travel to Cairo and see for myself!!!

Cheers,
Di

Thank you again Jenny for the fabulous photos. Its either an excellent camera or you have taken to photography with your usual artistic skill. I was interested in the embroidery on some of the clothing. We have just had a special exhibition on Palestine at the SA Museum and it included some brilliant embroidery. Quite fascinating.

Cheers

Hi Jenny,
Have been reading regularly and enjoying the photos. Passed the site onto a couple of friends who have done your workshop and they are also enjoying reading about your new home. Keep up the good work.

Hi Jenny,

The man in the brown shawl and the glasses reminds me of the father from Happy days.

Jenny,

I know lots of people have said "Thank you" for doing this and I am adding mine! Today is the first day I have had time to read all your posts though I had a quick look when you first posted the link.

You are really bringing Cairo and Egypt alive for us all. The people are intriguing! Your photos are fantastic too. I adore the one of the cat! He looks like he is very used to having his picture taken. The cart sounds absolutely gorgeous.

Please keep up the good work. I am going to do what others have done and place a shortcut on my desktop so I can check in each day!

Take care!

Hi Jenny
I am so glad that so many people have responded today!! I guess we are all the same, and thinking that someone else will be responding, so we don't bother! Sorry. I am enjoying your posts, it is really an excellent way to see Egypt from an Aussie's point of view. Sorry I didn't manage to catch up by phone while you were in Perth, but I am still moving on, in my studies, and you are helping me to see that maybe somewhere like Egypt would be a possibility for me to teach English.
Keep up the good work.

Hi Jenny
I've always wanted to visit Egypt and I've been able to get some glimpses of it through your blog. Really makes me want to include a visit when we go O/S next year, but I don't think we will have time (exploring Europe will be our focus).
Your photos are wonderful and I enjoy a good pun!

Hi Jenni;
We are all 'coming out' as big fans for your writing and pictures. My DH is loving them too. We really do appreciate the time you put into sharing with us.
Must admit though, I think you're a very gutsy lady and you obviously don't wait for life to come to you - you just go out a grab with both hands.
Take care,
